the fascination of access statistics

My first attempts in blogging were driven by curiosity. I started a blog at yahoo 360° in January 2007. As I was afraid of giving away too much of my personality, I chose settings to let only friends read my entries. My blog was a private diary for my quilting activities. A lot of things changed in my life since then. I got a new home, a new job and new friends. And I started a “real blog” at wordpress.

Lately I give my best attention to the stats. It is so thrilling to track the number of visitors and analyse dependencies on my entries and the amount of readers.

Here you can see that my most interesting issue was the quipday of June 21th 2009.

By the way this does not happen by accident. I did some marketing to archive this high score, sent e-mails, posted group-messages and links on flickr photos. And a certain number of internet surfers were nosy. Who is Elisabeth, which information can be found about her life.
